Create incentives for rail travel instead of air travel
... as a transformation measure in the area of business mobility
- The aim of the measure is to only use air travel for intercontinental trips. This means that at least 50% of air travel is to be eliminated by 2025. To achieve this goal, rail travel is to be made more attractive through (financial) incentives. It is also possible to create incentives to travel in 1st class on trains. Furthermore, the regulation is to be introduced that air travel will only be approved if the time saved compared to rail travel is eight hours or more.
